If you do anything this summer, do this!
Now we’re in the summer holidays, whether you have kids or not, we can easily fall out of routine.
We’re either going on holiday or, if you do have kids, you’ve now got them to entertain as well as possibly working full-time.
Either way, we’re out of routine.
So, create two non-negotiables for yourself right now that you’re going to stick to until September.
When you get to September, you’ll feel in a really good place with your health and fitness.
It needs to be something realistic and it needs to be a baseline non-negotiable.
Here are some examples to get you started (pick two from any of the below):
Exercise:
Three Exercise Classes a Week: These can be short 20-minute sessions that fit around your schedule, perhaps early in the morning or even while on holiday.
8,000 Steps a Day: Aim for this daily step count to keep active.
Commit to a Challenge: Like our plank challenge, for a stronger core by September.
Hydration:
Drink 2.5 Litres of Water Daily: Staying hydrated is vital, especially in the summer heat.
Healthy Habits:
Healthy Breakfast Every Day: Start your day with a nutritious meal.
Daily Stretching Routine: Spend 10 minutes each day stretching to improve flexibility and reduce stress.
Mindfulness or Meditation: Dedicate 10 minutes a day to mindfulness or meditation to enhance mental well-being.
Whatever you choose, make sure it’s something you can realistically commit to. By September, you’ll thank yourself for maintaining these habits.
